Fresh non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tissue samples.

Request Summary:

We are creating and bringing to market platforms that can be used to predict responses to therapeutic interventions using live patient-derived tumour fragments. We are particularly interested in developing collaborations with long-term biobank partners, primarily in the UK and Europe. We are also interested in gaining and sharing knowledge of tissue storage solutions that can keep live tissue viable beyond the initial 24 hrs.

Sample Type: Solid tumour sample. Where available, matched normal lung tissue sample from same patient

Storage Format: Fresh, delivered 24-36 hrs after surgery

Number of Cases: 20-25

Pro/Retrospective: Prospective only

Time Limits: Preferred project duration: 6-9 months.

Inclusion Criteria:

Age: 18+ years old.
Minimum weight of specimen: 0.25 g.
Clinical stages acceptable: all stages.

Exclusion Criteria:

Lung specimens must be categorised as tumour or matched normal. Other lung diseased tissues should be excluded.

Clinical Data Required:

Basic patient demographics including smoking status recorded as either ‘smoker’, ‘ex-smoker’ or ‘non-smoker’;medical history, pathology data, treatment, treatment response and any blood and molecular results (where available).

Extra detail:

We will provide tissue collection materials.
Specimens must be shipped same day for overnight/next day receipt.
