Stage 1 or Stage 2 pancreatic cancer, EDTA Plasma

Request Summary:

We are seeking two different sets of biobanked EDTA plasma samples. Set 1: from up to 100 individuals that are healthy controls; and Set 2: from up to 100 individuals with Stage 1 or Stage 2 pancreatic cancer.

You may respond to this request based on offering just one of the plasma Sample Sets, or both Sets. Further, you can offer sample quantities below our target of 100 individuals, but with at least 40 individuals for either Set 1 or Set 2, or for at least 40 individuals for each of the 2 Sets. The collection, handling and processing protocol used for all samples that you are offering should be similar.

We are looking for 1mL or smaller aliquots. Less than 10-years since blood draw. Single or double spun. Minimal freeze thaw cycles.

Number of Cases: 40-100 pancreatic cancer cases, 40-100 normal controls

Inclusion Criteria:

1. Sample Set 1: Healthy control EDTA plasma samples: from up to 100 individuals that are healthy controls, and of 55 to 80 years of age. Without severe co-morbidities. Diabetes OK, but no cancer currently or within past 3 years.

2. Sample Set 2: Pancreatic cancer EDTA plasma samples: from up to 100 individuals total, with Stage 1 or Stage 2 pancreatic cancer. Blood draw must have been while patient was pre-surgery and treatment naive;

Clinical Data Required:

Required clinical information: for PDAC samples: age, gender, ethnicity, cancer stage, method for staging (eg. following surgery, by non-surgicanl means, etc.), any significant co-morbidities, treatment naive confirmation, date of blood draw. Nice to have would include: BMI, diabetes y/n, diabetes onset year, smoker y/n and CA19-9 measure.

for healthy control samples: age, gender, ethnicity, co-morbidities (in particular any pancreas related conditions including pancreatitis, pancreatic cysts, IPMNs)--but should not have significant co-morbidities, date of blood draw. Nice to have would include: BMI, diabetes y/n, diabetes onset year, smoker y/n, and CA19-9 measure.
